Full Charge Bookkeeper

The BOOKKEEPER will be involved with all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and account management for our entrepreneurial client base.  This position will also be responsible for related operations tasks such as Human Resources Management, Insurance Administration and Project Management for our clients whose businesses encompass many creative fields. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Bookkeeping including data entry into accounting software such as A/P entry, bill payment, downloading, coding + entry of credit cards, payroll prep + entry, month-end and year-end closings
  • Monthly and quarterly local and state forms and filings, including business licenses, sales tax, etc.
  • Tax prep work including coordination with tax CPAs
  • Analytical projects may include budget to actual analysis, preparing custom P+L statements, Analytical projects may include budget to actual analysis, preparing custom P+L statements, locating reconciliation discrepancies, posting closing tax entries and reconciling tax financials to working financials, reconciling wage and payroll tax reports to financial statements.
  • Human Resources Management, including recruiting, on-boarding, employee handbook updates, disciplinary + termination processes, workers comp audits.
  • Insurance Administration, including medical insurance enrollments, business and personal insurance tracking, review of new and renewal policy options, etc.
  • Project Management Services, including invoicing, budget tracking, account reconciliations, etc.
  • Office administration tasks such as phones and filing as needed
  • All other duties as assigned by management


Ideal Candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:


  • Previous bookkeeping experience in a business management firm, law firm, entertainment-industry office, or other fast-paced office highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently on special projects  
  • Exceptional follow through skills and ability to multitask
  • Meticulously organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service via phone, email and in person to clients and other business professionals
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
  • Proficiency with both PC and Mac computers and mastery of MS Excel
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and payroll processing required
  • Must possess valid driver license, reliable means of transportation, and a clean driving record.
  • Must maintain a high level of sensitivity with extremely confidential information
  • Preferred minimum education level: Bachelor’s Degree



Compensation: Hourly rate TBD based on experience, plus medical benefits and PTO
